19th April 1972: Apollo 16, the fifth mission to the moon with astronauts (John W Young & Charles M Duke) prepare to descend from lunar orbit and land on the moon . Both spent time exploring and testing the Lunar Buggy. They hit the record for highest top speed for a wheeled vehicle on the moon, getting 11 MPH.
19th April 1975: India Launches their first satellite with help of the USSR
19th April 1979: Kate Hudson is born (American Actress, seen in 'You, Me, and Dupree)
19th April 1987: The Simpsons has it's first showing on TV, The Simpsons had originally been created as a series of shorts for The Tracy Ullman Show.
